iDRY Leasing FAQs

  1. Can I pay my lease off early? No, but you can buyout the lease at any time during the lease term for the residual value at the time of the buyout.

  2. Can I depreciate the equipment for tax purposes? Since this is a true operating lease, no, but you can expense the monthly payments over the course of the lease.

  3. Do I “own” the kiln? No. iDRY owns the kiln. We are renting it to you and you have to give it back at the end of the lease term or buy it out, just like a car.

  4. Does leasing equipment help me build credit for the future? Yes. In fact for new businesses with owners who have good credit a lease is a great way to establish “comparable credit” which will help you either buy out the lease at the end of the term or get loans for other equipment for you business.

  5. When do my payments start? On the day your kiln is delivered and the first of each month thereafter.

  6. Is shipping included? Yes. Your lease includes shipping, but not offloading the truck. You should be prepared to offload the trailer when it shows up.

  7. Is installation included? No. Your local licensed electrician and plumber can install the kiln.

  8. If there is a problem who fixes it? There is a one year warranty on the cost of parts. Labor is provided by the customer. After one year maintenance cost and repairs are the customer’s responsibility.

  9. Who is responsible for fixing the kiln if it breaks? There is a 1 year warranty on parts. After the warranty period you are responsible for repairs to the kiln and you are expected to keep it in working order.

  10. What is the buyout at the end of the lease term? $29,500 for the iDRY Standard and $44,500 for the iDRY PLUS.

  11. Anything else I should know? The kiln has to be connected to the internet all them time. This helps iDRY support you remotely and keeps your kiln running. If your internet is disconnected from the kiln for more than one month your kiln will run with limited capability.
