How much space should I give my iDRY Kiln?

The iDRY kiln is not a small machine, and if you opted to get the iDRY Plus or the iDRY Turbo, it can take up a large amount of space. Depending on the space available to you in your workshop or home, you may be wondering what space requirements there are for setting up the kiln, as not everybody has a warehouse available to them, and making the absolute most out of our work spaces is important! Fortunately the design of the iDRY itself makes space efficiency a breeze, let’s take a closer look

When installing the iDRY, adequate space needs to be given to both the loading end of the kiln as well as the control panel and exhaust pipe on the opposite side. On the loading side, make sure that you have enough space for the door to swing open, and the loading racks to load the material fully into the kiln to extend fully. The exact space required will be dependent on which model of iDRY you have purchased, but you can expect to need approximately the same length of the kiln itself for available space in front of it. On the opposite side, simply make sure there is enough room for you to reach the access panel and controls, and to attach the exhaust pipe. As long as you leave enough space for those two sides, there is no requirement of space for the other sides and the top of the kiln.

The longer sides of the kiln are composed of the heavy duty stainless steel vacuum chamber which is then insulated and covered in sheet metal, many customers leave little to no room on these sides. As long as you have the ability to maneuver around your iDRY kiln, and the ability to access the front and back, you can fit it into any space you need!
